Last month I received some really good news.... I was contacted by the Guild of Photographers who advised me I had been awarded 6 Bronze awards and 3 Silver awards in their Image of the Month Competition. I was really excited and proud of this achievement and thought I would take this opportunity to share these photography images with you.

Here are some examples of the wedding photography I received awards for in the monthly competition. As a fully qualified photographer I like to take time to construct an image which is unique to your client, wedding and their special day.

This image was taken during the bridal preparation images at David and Vicki’s wedding at Glenskirlie Caste, Banknock, Stirling. I loved photographing David and Vicki’s wedding because the venue was stunning and all the wedding party and guests were lovely and friendly.  I posed Vicki beside the window to get some gorgeous natural light hitting her face and showing her dress and flowers, I love the overall romantic feel contained within the image.

This image received a Silver Award with the Guild of Photographers, Silver awards are Images that are very well crafted at a professional level, this Silver awards are difficult to achieve.

This image was taken during Margaret and Richards wedding which took place at Callendar House, Falkirk. This image was completed reportage and natural which made it even more special to me. I love the lighting hitting the little boy and I love the rustic feel of the image through the exterior building behind the subject. Photography is about having an eye for special moments and capturing these special moments to create a record of people’s memories

This image received a Bronze Award with the Guild of photographers, Bronze awards are Images of a strong standard at a professional level, which is a great achievement.

I love the story held within this image, this was taken during Mya and James wedding at Barony castle, Pebbles. I wasn’t allowed to take any images during the ceremony but was allowed to capturing some images of Mya walking up the aisle. I love this image because of her dad’s expression, how proud does father of the bride look?

This image received a Bronze Award with the Guild of photographers, Bronze awards are Images of a strong standard at a professional level, which is a great achievement.
