I first had contact with James and Maya when they were planning their Scottish Wedding and were looking for a Scottish Wedding Photographer to cover their special day. The had choosen to get married at the gorgeous Barony Castle in Pebbles. The castle is a spectacular wedding venue and provided the perfect backdrop to providing stunning wedding images for James and Maya. The castle is located just 35 minutes (17 miles) south of Edinburgh on the edge of the Scottish Borders.

I arrived at the venue early in the morning as Maya and her gorgeous daughter Sophie had just returned from the hairdressers and were starting getting ready in the gorgeous honeymoon suite. I love being present during the bridal preparations and capturing all the little details that make up the special day. I like capturing the nerves, excitement and build up of emotion.

The grass lawn was set up beautifully for the wedding ceremony to be held, it was a glorious summers day and everything had been planned beautifully. Although i wasnt permitted to take any images during the ceremony I was allowed an image of the bride walking up the Aisle. The image that i captured resulted in being one of my many favourite from the day. I love the emotion and proud showing on the Father of The brides face.

After the cermony was completed i managed to sneak away with the bride and groom to get some gorgeous fine art wedding images. It wasnt hard to find stunning locations within this venue, the vast gardens and bandstand enabled us to capture lots of special images which James and Maya will treasure forever. Creating these special images for the bride and groom is one of my favourite aspects of Wedding Photography as I know only too well how quickly your day goes by so it is important to have gorgeous images to help you remember your special day forever.

Everyone then all gathered into the conservatory to hear the speeches and eat a delious meal, the speeches were wonderful and filled with emotion throughout.

Everyone then spilled out onto the lawn area into the glourious sunshine, sipping cocktails and eating sweets from the candy bar. It was a lovely relaxed atmosphere with everyone chatting and having fun. Everyone then moved onto the evening reception area for the first dance and the evening reception.

I would like to thank James and Maya for choosing me to be there wedding photographer, I had a wonderful day in this fantastic Scottish wedding venue and loved being able to capture amazing images for you to treasure forever.
